We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager for a Market leading and fast growing IT Managed Service Provider who are specialist in cloud services based in Warrington. This will be offering £45,000 basic salary and OTE £90,000.  In addition there is a fantastic benefits package and in return an opportunity to work for a fantastic company.


The successful candidate will have a proven track record in B2B sales within IT and Telecoms industry.  


About The Role:


Reporting to the Head of Sales, to be responsible for pioneering new business, defining and successful BDM. You are responsible for engagement with our customers and achieving wins, as well new business sales, client retention, and upselling to existing clients as well as achievement of target revenue. The key aim is to deliver sustained revenue growth in line with the overall business plan and targets


Principle Accountabilities

To work within the Sales and Marketing Team within the company to maximize business growth through business inquiries through direct or indirect channels to purchased solutions. As a BDM your role is a critical and integral part of the sales team. You will be responsible for identifying target accounts, developing your pipeline and maximizing revenue by closing deals. You will work closely with Account Managers, Marketing Manager, prospects and partners as a subject-matter sales expert to demonstrate how our proposed solutions meet and exceed customer requirements to close deals.


Leading from the front, manage, develop opportunities, qualify leads, deliver the leads into Sales to new accounts, and generate increase business within existing accounts. Leveraging existing accounts or special interest groups, close key deals to develop referenceable customers forecast appropriately with good insight, accuracy, and judgment

Work independently and develop a strong and robust sales pitch, including identifying new opportunities through business development and marketing events

Work with Sales Team in driving in the lead development of main client accounts with a focus on growth

You will liaise with customers at a senior level to build relationships, understand requirements, and quality leads and above all successfully sell the products and services

Responsible for identifying target accounts, generating leads and opportunities by selling into new clients

Engage with client senior decision makers and influencers and within the accounts to support an executive conversation when discussing the business impact of our solutions.

Pursue and identify new business prospects, participating actively in the planning and sales process for new business opportunities

Work with a team to write proposals and tender responses or participate in the preparation of RFP

Prepare accurate and timely sales forecasts from Microsoft Dynamics on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis for management reports driving the quality, accuracy and process consistency in the sales teams planning efforts.

Participate in sales conference calls and prospect clients visits, providing product demonstrations in person and working with prospects at the business level to show how solutions can provide value to them.

Working collaboratively with the Sales, Marketing team with a good knowledge of the sales, and marketing pipeline.

Participate and in collaboration with the Marketing Manager in the creation of marketing campaigns, driving interest, value add, educational events within the social media, email and bespoke events including dinner and roundtable events.

Works closely with rest of sales to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement.

Working with the sales team are compliant with the company standards for maintaining CRM data integrity/management

Responsible contact with relevant authorities for Information Security and the responsibility for Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability for ISO27001


Essential Skills & Experience


Degree level or equivalent work experience can override this

Selling cloud or software and services related products or services experience

Quantifiable sales track record demonstrated by increasing responsibilities, growth and in target driven environment

Working knowledge of sales model and utilizing the model to drive revenue
