We are currently recruiting for an Customer Service Advisor to join a well established company based in Irlam. They are offering a salary up to £20,000,free parking, childcare vouchers and immediate start. The ideal candidate will have been in a similar role previous with desirable but not essential Fabric, steel or plastics knowledge.

Hours of work: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

About The Role:     

Purpose of the role is to have direct responsibility for Sales in the North Divisions. To establish and grow the company to become the market leader in the territory and represent the company in a professional manner. The role will involve building key customer relationships through ensuring a high level of service at all times.

Successful candidate will also be responsible for:

Ensure customer enquiries, received by phone, email and fax, are handled quickly and efficiently using the bespoke computer system.

Providing quotations for material cut to size based on customer needs, negotiating on price when necessary to obtain an order and secure future business.

When requested, to source new customers for semi-finished stock shapes through various methods, including electronic and telephone campaigns and customer visits.

To increase sales and profits by developing relationships with established accounts and ensuring all key accounts are properly managed.

Maintain customer records, including a proactive approach to reviewing dormant accounts in an effort to re-engage with the customer.

To ensure a professional, friendly and consistent service is provided for the customer.

Achieve and maintain a strong understanding of the products and services that the company offers.

Maintain customer records, including the follow-up of accounts which have a ‘dormant’ status in an effort to re-engage with the customer.

Have market awareness, including the pricing provided to customers by competitors, providing the Branch Manager with relevant information which may warrant further discussion.

Work effectively with other members of the team and other departments providing support when required.

Work closely with Internal Sales and Warehouse staff across other branches and Head Office to ensure the best service for customers.

To meet prescribed KPIs and objectives.

Ensuring the customer is completely satisfied with the service offered , including the materials / goods are supplied correctly and to specification

Essential Skills & Experience:

Previous experience within a similar role

Knowledge of plastics, fabrics or steel experience desirable not essential

Tenacious sales focused  

Excellent customer service
