We are currently recruiting an office based Sales Account Manager to join our Liverpool based client with over 35 years experience supplying high quality Chromatography consumables to laboratories around the world.
About The Role:
In this role you will be expected to communicate with end users, key decision makers, department heads, purchasing agents, technicians and scientists. Strong customer relationship management skills, organisation and excellent communication skills are crucial to succeeding in this role. Your strong Chromatography background will help to ensure that you are able to fully encourage Reference Standard and consumables opportunities in addition to generating your own direct sales. Part of your duties will be to manage a small office based sales team and work with the company’s purchasing department to deliver value for money for the business.
Identifying and developing inbound and outbound leads to generate business opportunities.
Working with the Head of Marketing to develop and deliver messaging to promote specific product offerings.
Contributing to metrics to monitor KPIs, lead generation and opportunity development.
Developing new business and expanding existing opportunities.
Maintaining customer contact data and associated activities onto the CRM system.
Produce monthly reports on ongoing activities and be involved in the longer term development of strategy and sales plan reviewed at regular management meetings.
Responding to all leads in a timely and professional manner.
Proactively acting to understand customer needs and identify solutions to non-standard tasks/queries and actively create business opportunities.
Have a good understanding of the company catalogue and adapt cross- selling opportunities in association with the management team.
Solving a broad range of customer needs of varying scientific/technical scope and complexity.
Provide ad-hoc training to sales team when required.
Working with the sales team to complete customer satisfaction surveys to understand and enhance customer experience with the company.
Any other duties commensurate to the level and nature of the role as directed by company Directors.
Essential Skills & Experience
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology or related Life Science field of study.
Recent sales experience
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Experience using all aspects of Microsoft Office and CRM based platform
