Working for an International Research Company based in South Manchester, we are currently recruiting for an International Conference Research Manager to join their existing team.  For this role it is essential you are able to communicate verbally and written to business level in both English & German as you will be liaising with international clients on a daily basis.   


About The Role:

· Maintaining a clear and concise pipeline of research opportunities

· Follow up leads in a timely fashion and ensuring that ‘call-back’ dates are met and relationships are maintained

· Building and nurturing relationships with these potential prospects/leads

· Making direct contact through productive outbound calls and emails to potential prospects/leads

· Utilising on-line tools, databases, search engines and apps to research, analyse and reach out to potential market sectors, prospects and leads qualifying these leads against agreed criteria

· Entering new leads/data onto the internal data base system and updating existing records with current research

· Follow a continuous data maintenance programme of account profiling and development, keeping detailed notes of all contact history including observations on any buying patterns and decision-making criteria and timeframes

· Managing client accounts to meet targets and KPIs, weekly, monthly and annually

· Developing a good understanding of our client’s products and services

· Monitor and keeping up to date with international industry news

· Research into market sectors to identify the most appropriate conferences for a client city/venue

· Identification, qualification and development of conference buyer leads, understanding the buying process, recruitment of conference ambassadors/local hosts or contacting decision makers (as appropriate) and selling the client’s city or destination

· Recruitment of guests for client hospitality events, sales trips etc

· Representation of clients at trade events such as exhibitions, hospitality events, buyer forums etc

Essential Skills & Experience

· Minimum 2 – 3 years of relevant, professional working experience

· Must be fluent in both German and English to Business Level

· Experience in similar account management or client facing roles

· Ability to project plan and take responsibility for your client portfolio

· The ability to work in an organised manner and with tenacity

· The ability to research, qualify and analyse lead data and large quantities of information accurately and quickly

· The ability to work to and achieve targets

· Customer focus and have a determination/hunger to succeed

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

· Excellent IT skills, computer literacy, proficient Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint

· Methodical and thorough approach to work, ensuring accuracy at all times

· Ability to work positively within a small team

· Be open to feedback and ability to improve performance
