We are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a well established, large industrial site based in the Stockport area. This is a long term temporary role with an immediate start paying £13.20 per hour.
The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for planning, organising and undertaking corrective and reactive work and also delivering improvement projects leading to increased plant reliability and cost reduction.
About The Role:
To complete the Planned Maintenance inspections as defined by the site maintenance plans in a safe and effective manner
Ensuring that tools, parts and materials are available and production downtime is minimised
To ensure that all plant and equipment on sites is modified and improved, as necessary, to maximise equipment availability and performance whilst still achieving output levels required
To undertake assessments of malfunctioning equipment and provide advice to the site management team to assist and influence decision making
To undertake engineering project work and assist with new installations or refurbishments
To update and administer the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
To contribute to problem solving workshops, providing engineering expertise to identify root causes of failures and subsequent improvement actions
To attend daily operational review meetings, providing updates on Planned Maintenance compliance, live defects and ongoing improvement plans
Essential Skills & Experience
Possession of HNC, City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in relevant discipline (Essential)
Previous maintenance experience (Essential)
Good communication skills and ability to work on own initiative
Awareness of Environmental and Health and Safety Regulations
Experience of working within a processing, manufacturing or similar environment
Knowledge of CMMS Systems
About The Benefits
Hours of Work: 4 days on 4 days off rota
Working hours between 06:00AM and 10:00PM
Competitive pay at £13.20 per hour
Overtime paid at 1.5x the hourly rate
