This nationwide company in the leisure sector is looking for a Part Time General Manager / Company Secretary to join them. The role comes with an excellent salary of up to £30,000 (for 3 days a week) with benefits including a pension scheme, free parking and travel expenses.

About the role:

Working for the head office, you will be working across several sites in the UK, assisting the management teams in the day to day running of the sites.  You will carry out a varied role included:

Maintaining company books and registers

Carrying out Companies House filings

Preparing meeting minutes

Chairing and minuting monthly management meetings

General management duties

Financial reporting and accounting guidance

Preparing management accounts

Managing relationships with banks, insurers and solicitors

Managing the annual insurance renewal

Completing ad hoc projects

Supervising key managers within the business  

Dealing with any legal Issues

Dealing with HR issues including staff recruitment and discipline, staff contracts and handbooks

Controlling contracts

Supplying information for property sales

Looking after IT issues including websites and networking

Ensuring all company Environmental Health requirements are met, acting as a point of contact for Councils.

Overseeing and assisting the Sales & Marketing team

Supervision of Capex and cash flow

Skills and Experience Required:

The ideal candidate will have a background in a similar General Manager or Company Secretary role. You will have finance and accounting skills with the ability to manage profit and loss reports and balance sheets.  You will also have skills and experience within sales and marketing to help develop and promote the business. You will be comfortable using Word, Excel and Sage. Due to the need to travel to other sites, you will need a full current driving licence and your own transport.  The role will involve working 3 days a week but you will need to be flexible to meet the needs of the business.  Experience in hotels or other leisure sectors would be beneficial

About the benefits:

A salary of £20,000 to £30,000 depending on experience (based on 3 days a week)

20 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata)
