This expanding local company is looking for an experienced Field Sales or Account Manager with background in a technical sector to join their team. They offer a salary of up to £28,000 and benefits that include a bonus scheme, company car, holidays that increase to 25 days plus bank holidays, free parking and a pension.

This is a well established local company who deal with customers across the North West.  They deal with a wide range of organisations from smaller business and some high value domestic accounts to major contracts with local authorities and the NHS. They have a well established team and a reputation of retaining their staff on a long term basis.

About the role:

Based from their town centre office, you will be dealing with a variety of business across the North West. You will be mainly focused on developing new accounts but will also look to expand on business within existing business.  Duties will include:

Building, extending and account managing the existing customer base by selling contracts to customers across the North West

Generating new leads to win business for installations and services

Carrying out site surveys and cost works

Preparing quotes and specifications in accordance with relevant standards and following up

Developing and delivering presentations to a wide variety of customers

Managing your own workload diary and systems

Attending pre-contract meetings

Working closely with the engineering department to ensure works are carried out in a timely and effective manner

Working with other departments in the sourcing, preparation and submission of PQQs and tenders

Skills and Experience Required:

The ideal candidate will have experience in a field based sales role, ideally within the fire alarm sector (with experience of BAFE) although an intruder alarms background may be considered with experience of NSI or SSAIB.  You will be confident to develop new business as well as being able to spot the opportunities to expand existing customers. Due to the customers they work with and the sector they are in, a successful candidate will need to be able to provide unbroken career history information for the last 5 years and undergo a DBS check, police security check and an adverse financial check.  A full current driving licence is essential.

The benefits:

A salary of £26,000 – £28,000 depending on experience

OTE of £35,000 with uncapped commission

20 days holiday plus bank holidays (rising to 25 days over time)
