Are you in an office based sales role, looking for that next step into a field based sales role? Are you looking for a new opportunity as a Business Development Manager? What will you be doing as a Business Development Manager:
Based from the office, you will be out of the office 3 to 4 days a week, travelling to customer sites around the UK to establish and retain business growth opportunities. The role will mainly involve obtaining new clients and fostering business relationships. Duties will include:
* Building relationships with businesses including national and blue chip companies
* Proactively generating leads for property requirements near our sites whether this be in person, through social channels such as LinkedIn
* Managing deals through to Heads of Terms / In Legals stage
* Building relationships with the local councils and regularly attend council events
* Attending networking events promoting the company and its assets and hosting property launch events
* Targeting key accounts, growth sectors and industries to generate and follow up leads
* Research available grants for new and current assets
* Working closely with other departments in the business to improve customer performance
* Creating further value to the existing portfolio by identifying underutilised or unutilised assets to improve income generation
* Reviewing properties under the company portfolio with a view to identifying and soliciting new clients
* Carrying out onsite meetings from self-generated leads and from our internal channels
* Attracting and developing clients by identifying and understanding their requirements

We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:
* Previous experience in an office based sales role and looking for the first step into field sales or possibly a similar BDM or Field Sales background would be considered
* Experience in property based sectors such as estate agency, lettings or business centres would be interesting but not essential
* A fantastic relationship builder
* Self motivated and target driven
* Highly organised and flexible in approach
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* A full current driving licence is essential
