I am recruiting an Account Manager to join a market-leading manufacturing company out of their offices in the Cheshire area. Paying between GBP28000-GBP32000 depending on experience, this is a permanent role, and represents a great opportunity to join a busy and established sales team, for a company who encourages progression and learning at all levels within the business.

As an Account Manager, you will play a fundamental role in managing any existing relationships, and also playing a wider role in supporting the Area Sales Manager in developing and winning on new business.

What will you be doing as an Account Manager?

  • Contact existing customers regularly to ensure continuation of existing business: exceeding agreed budget targets as well as identifying potential opportunities for new business.
  • Reengage any non-buying customers
  • Recording of customer & market related information in CRM system
  • Supporting the Area Sales manager to develop a strong pipeline of new opportunities, monitoring and reporting on commercial projects in the region
  • Negotiate prices in line with local guidelines
  • Prepare SAP and follow up quotations and samples
  • Act as the first point of contact for any customer care queries, complaints or any other issues
  • Attend customer events, seminars, exhibitions etc. as required. Engage in 'desk based' market research to support lead generation.


We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience working as a: Account Manager, Internal Sales Advisor or similar role
  • Previous experience in the plastics or chemicals sectors is highly desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Natural relationship builder
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Confidence to make cold and warm calls


What will you get in return for your work as Account Manager?

  • Salary: GBP28000-GBP32,000 dependant on experience
  • Hours of work: 8.45-4.45pm
  • Holidays: 23 days holiday (rising to 26 with service) plus bank holidays
