I am recruiting a Supply Chain / Procurement Administrator to join a market-leading distribution company out of their offices in the Cheshire area. Paying between GBP28000-GBP32000 depending on experience, this is a permanent role, and represents a great opportunity to join a busy and established team, for a company who encourages progression and learning at all levels within the business.

As a Supply Chain / Procurement Administrator , you will play a fundamental role in managing existing relationships with manufacturing partners, using your attention to detail and analytical skills you will make decisions in the procurement of materials for both regular and ad hoq customer requirements.

What will you be doing as an Suply Chain / Procurement Administrator?

  • Collaborates on daily basis with partners in operations and executes relevant procurement activities in accordance with supply plan
  • Purchase materials in the region in the most cost-effective manner on time and in full
  • Manages all aspects of operational purchasing (creation, monitoring and update) in conjunction with the supply partners
  • Select adequate transportation methods
  • Negotiate special purchase prices and contracts in conjunction with Product Management, Sales and Regional SC Manager
  • Support Supply Managers with exception management while liaising with partners to understand and resolve issues and provides timely updates to all key stakeholders.
  • Approval of partner invoices, where relevant
  • Manage complaints about damages and service issues (inbound)
  • Responsible for inventory level in regional core hubs
  • Responsible the slow moving, aged and excess inventory process
  • Responsible for and measured against inventory targets
  • Maintain all system processes and paperwork in line with chosen delivery methodologies
  • Maintenance of relevant data within IT systems
  • Provide suitable performance metrics (KPI) on regular basis
  • Proactively identify and make recommendations of continuous improvement topics within their business area

We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within Supply Chain or Procurement
  • Ability to analyse customer purchase patters to make key decisions on procurement activities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience on SAP or another ERP would be preferred
  • Good basic / Intermediate understand of MS Excel
  • This role would also suit a graduate with relevant Supply chain management qualification who is looking to start their career

  • Salary: GBP28000-GBP32,000 dependant on experience
  • Hours of work: 8.45-4.45pm
  • Holidays: 23 days holiday (rising to 26 with service) plus bank holidays
