About the role:
Working on a reception desk, you will be carrying out a varied reception and administration role. Duties will include:
Acting as first point of contact for callers and visitors to the company
Handling incoming telephone calls through the main switchboard
Greeting visitors and ensuring they are announced promptly
Making refreshments for visitors, assisting to set up and clear meeting rooms
Maintaining a tidy and efficient reception area in which to receive visitors
Receiving, opening and distributing all incoming mail
Assisting and liaising with other departments as required
Ensure cheques received in the post are referenced and handled securely
Handling of all outgoing mail, use of franking and enveloping machines; dealing with recorded delivery items etc
Monitoring and ordering office stationery and general office/kitchen consumables
Assisting with other administrative tasks including photocopying, scanning and indexing
Skills and Experience required:
The ideal candidate will ideally have customer service experience, preferably in a front of house or face to face role. Experience in either an administration or reception position would be beneficial. You will have a minimum of 5 GCSE Grade A-C / 4-9 (or equivalent). Skills in Word and Excel are essential. You will be confident and smart with an excellent phone manner. You be keen to develop a career and progress within the business.
A salary of £13,500 to £14,250 depending on age and experience
21 days holiday plus bank holidays, rising to 28 days over time
