What will you be doing as an Internal Sales Manager?

Based at the company's offices, you'll lead a small Internal Sales team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department while maintaining excellent relationships with existing customers and identifying opportunities to grow the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading, motivating and supporting a small Internal Sales team, including recruitment, training, coaching and performance management.
Managing a portfolio of customer accounts, including several key accounts, to maximise sales opportunities and deliver exceptional customer service.
Monitoring sales performance and producing reports for the Sales Director, identifying trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
Negotiating commercial agreements with key customers and providing guidance and support to the wider sales team.
Developing a thorough understanding of the company's products, production processes and competitor activity.
Working closely with the Marketing team to maximise product exposure through social media, industry publications, email campaigns and catalogues.
Visiting key customers and attending exhibitions and industry events when required.
Driving continuous improvements across sales processes, supporting complaint resolution and collaborating with the Sales and Aftersales teams to deliver the best possible customer experience.

We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

Previous experience in an Internal Sales Manager, Sales Team Leader, Customer Service Manager or similar leadership role within a B2B environment.
Experience managing, coaching and developing a small team.
A background in wholesale, distribution, manufacturing or product-based businesses would be highly advantageous.
Experience building strong relationships with commercial customers, both over the phone and in face-to-face meetings.
A commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to grow existing accounts.
An understanding of marketing activity and the ability to work collaboratively with a marketing team to generate new ideas and maximise product awareness.
Excellent relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
A full UK driving licence.
