HR Administrator

Have you got previous HR administration experience and enjoy being the person who keeps everything organised behind the scenes?

We're looking for an experienced HR Administrator to join a well-established business based in Trafford Park. This is a great opportunity to become part of a busy team, providing essential support across all areas of HR administration and helping ensure the employee journey runs smoothly from start to finish.

You'll be supporting the HR team with everything from new starter paperwork and employee records to holidays, absence and training administration. If you're organised, approachable and comfortable handling confidential information, this could be a great opportunity for you.

Offering £14.87 per hour (equivalent to approximately £29,000 per annum), this is initially a temporary assignment for approximately six weeks, with the potential for the right person to be considered for a permanent position.

What will you be doing as an HR Administrator?

  • Supporting the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring all relevant paperwork and checks are completed
  • Processing employee changes and maintaining accurate personnel records
  • Keeping training, skills and development records up to date
  • Carrying out Right to Work checks and supporting security vetting processes
  • Managing holiday and sickness records, ensuring all information is accurately recorded
  • Providing administrative support for employee appraisals and performance reviews
  • Assisting with maternity, paternity and other family-related leave administration
  • Acting as a friendly first point of contact for employee queries and providing general HR administration support

What's in it for you?

  • £14.87 per hour (equivalent to approximately £29,000 per annum)
  • Monday to Friday working, 9am-5pm
  • 37.5 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
  • Two 10-minute paid breaks each day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon
  • Full-time office-based position at the company's Trafford Park offices
  • An immediate start next week
  • Potential permanent opportunity - the initial assignment is around six weeks, but the right person could be considered for a longer-term position
  • Weekly pay while working on a temporary basis
  • Free on-site parking
  • Convenient Trafford Park location, with good motorway links and public transport connections

Why would you join this company?

You'll be joining an established and successful business with a dedicated team and a strong focus on supporting its employees.

HR plays an important part in the day-to-day running of the organisation, and you'll be working closely with the HR team to ensure employee records, processes and administration are managed effectively.

What we're looking for

What's essential:

  • Previous experience in an HR Administrator or HR Assistant position
  • A good understanding of general HR administration and employee processes
  • Experience maintaining employee records and handling confidential information
  • Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage several priorities at once.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, approachable manner
  • The ability to work independently, use your initiative and remain organised in a busy environment
  • A high level of discretion and an understanding of the importance of confidentiality when dealing with employee information

What's helpful but not essential:

  • Experience supporting the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to employee departures
  • Previous involvement in Right to Work checks, security vetting or compliance administration
  • Experience maintaining training records and coordinating appraisals
  • Familiarity with holiday, sickness and family leave administration
  • Previous experience working within a busy HR team
